Learning outcomes
What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Be able to identify ICT equipment used in the home.
Be able to use at least one piece of household ICT equipment safely.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify at least three different pieces of ICT equipment that might be used in the home eg. microwave, TV and DVD player, games console, smoke alarm, thermostat, mobile phone.
- Show appropriate use of at least one piece of ICT equipment from those identified.
- Follow safety rules when using the chosen ICT equipment, eg. not placing metal items into a microwave, drying hands before plugging in an electrical item.
