Learning outcomes
What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Be able to identify ICT equipment that is used in the community
Be able to use at least one piece of ICT equipment safely when out in the community
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify at least three different pieces of ICT equipment which can be used by anyone out in the community eg. Pelican crossings, ATM machines, lifts, automatic doors, supermarket scanning machines
- Show use of at least one piece of ICT equipment when out in the community
- Follow appropriate safety rules when using the ICT equipment eg. concealing your pin number if using an ATM machine, standing in a suitable place when using automatic doors, checking the road carefully even if the Pelican crossing signal indicates that it is safe to cross
