The learner will:
Be able to recognise the different signs of a fire
Know what to do if there is a fire at own home.

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- State five different signs of a fire e.g. smoke, smell, flames, heat, smoke detector, fire alarm, sprinklers.
- Demonstrate (through a role play) one thing that should not be done in the event of a fire.
- Demonstrate (through a role play) what to do if there is smoke.
- Demonstrate (through a role play) what to do to slow the spread of fire.
- Demonstrate (through a role play) how to check doors before opening.
- Demonstrate (through a role play) making a 999 call.
