Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Take an order for multiple drinks and snacks and check that the order has been understood by asking the customers.
- Select and prepare the appropriate serving equipment for each snack e.g. plate, spoon, knife, napkin, bowl.
- Place the snack on the plate or bowl using the correct tongs or ladle.
- Select the appropriate container for each drink.
- Make or pour the drinks.
- Check that all parts of the order are ready.
- Take the order to the correct table using a tray if necessary.
- Name the items and place each in front of the correct customer.
- Ask if the customers require anything else.
- Leave the customers using a phrase such as "I hope you enjoy your snack."
