What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Be able to use Internet safely using a PC or Laptop
Be able to send information safely using the Internet
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Demonstrate own knowledge of security by logging on to the Internet using a PC or Laptop
- Use a search engine in a secure way (such as Google) to find out information about something of interest (e.g. football club or favourite pop band)
- Demonstrate one security measure used when accessing the search engine
- Demonstrate sending information via the Internet (e.g. email or centre mailing system) to someone familiar in a secure way
