Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • describe three different textures when comparing different types of wool
    • identify three samples of wool with different textures suitable for a pom pom
    • use a ready prepared cardboard template to wind the wool around ensuring it is evenly spaced
    • use scissors safely to cut the edges of the wool
    • tie the pom pom firmly using matching wool (with help if required)
