What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- identify and show knowledge of the correct items of clothes needed to be worn when horse riding
- show an understanding of how a riding hat should fit correctly and choose the correct size hat
- state 2 health and safety factors as to why you need to wear specific clothing when horse riding
- identify and name the tack needed to horse ride
- collect the correct tack from the stable
- state the correct sequence for using the tack
- demonstrate how to correctly tack the horse independently
- be able to identify 3 health and safety risks to self and horse when putting tack on
