- Recognise a time of the day on two separate occasions e.g. morning or evening by it being light or dark, having breakfast in the morning, going to bed at night.
- Identify when or what part of the day they participate in routine activities on two separate occasions e.g. having lunch at lunchtime, dinner in the evening, catching a bus to or from home, school or work in the morning or afternoon.
