The learner will:

The learner can:
- Describe what different technological items found in the home are used for, e.g. microwave used to heat food, vacuum cleaner for cleaning, washing machines for cleaning clothes
- Use at least three technological items found in the home with minimal support, e.g. CD player, vacuum cleaner, microwave, toaster
- Demonstrate safe practises when using technological items found in the home, e.g. dry hands when using an electric
- Describe what different technological items found in the community do or are used for, e.g. cash machine used to dispense cash, chip & pin device to pay for an item(s)
- Use at least three technological items found in the community with minimal support, e.g. cash machine, chip & pin, self-scan in a shop
- Demonstrate safe practises when using technological items found in the community, e.g. shielding pin number
