What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify, from a selection, different technological items found in the home, e.g. microwave, vacuum cleaner, telephone, washing machine, toaster
- Use two technological items found in the home with support, e.g. CD player, vacuum cleaners, microwave, toaster
- Demonstrate, when prompted, safe practises when using technological items found in the home, e.g. dry hands if using an electric plug
- Identify, from a selection, different technological items found in the community e.g. cash machine, chip & pin device
- Use two technological items found in the community with support, e.g. cash machine, chip & pin, self-scan in a shop
- Demonstrate, when promoted, safe practises when using technological items found in the community, e.g. shielding pin number
