What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Prepare themself for a colouring service and wear the correct personal protective equipment
- Prepare a client for a colouring service and use the correct personal protective equipment
- Prepare the work area for a colouring service, using the correct equipment and tools
- Communicate with a client and behave in a professional manner
- Position themself and client appropriately throughout the service i.e correct posture
- Section hair ready for highlighting techniques
- Mix the false colour (conditioner and flour) to correct consistency
- Weave highlights and use either foils or a spatula for colour techniques
- Remove the false colour and foils from the client's hair
