The learner can:
- Read numbers to 99 on decorations, festival artefacts in words and figures
- Count food items in groups of two and 10 linked to organising a celebration
- Solve simple number/money problems using addition + and subtraction -
- Use words half and quarter linked to foods and artefacts
- Read signs ½ and ¼
- Design festival decorations using at least three 2D and three 3D shapes
- Draw and name the shapes and their properties
- Write directions for a character in a story linked to a festival i.e. direct Sita out of the forest/Babushka to the stable
- Mark dates on a calendar linked to key festivals
- Sequence the months of the year identifying key festivals linked to each month
