Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Read numbers up to 1000 on decorations and festival artefacts in words and figures
- Count food items in groups of two, four, five and 10 linked to organising a celebration
- Read common fractions linked to festival artefacts
- Recognise simple equivalents e.g. ¼ and ¼ is ½
- Design festival decorations using a combination of at least six 2D and 3D shapes identifying those with right angles
- Identify two lines of symmetry on 2D shapes
- Follow directions for a character in a story linked to a festival i.e. follow directions to lead Sita out of the forest/Babushka to the stable using compass directions
- Use a calendar to check dates i.e. how many Mondays until School Christmas lunch?
