What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Name and state the function of the parts of light microscope when shown on a worksheet
- Power up a light microscope
- Insert a preprepared slide on the microscope stage
- Focus the specimen on a range of magnification by using the different objective lenses
- Use the coarse and fine focus adjustment knobs
- Share any observations about the specimen as the magnification changes
