The learner can:
- Listen to discussions and identify general purpose and topics on at least two occasions
- Use politeness in discussions eg turn-taking, not interrupting the speaker
- Make relevant and appropriate contributions in discussions
- Use non-verbal communication effectively in discussions eg smiling, nodding of head, facial expressions, eye contact
