The learner will:
Understand that individual countries have their own cultural celebrations.
Use basic vocabulary to communicate in the language of the specific country
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- State the name of a county they are learning about
- Take an active part in preparing for an event that celebrates the culture of another country eg cooking food, making decorations, researching music and songs
- Write a short description to describe the key features of a cultural celebration from a specific country
- Recognise and understand two simple words or phrases in the relevant language eg hello, how are you? goodbye
- Use the words or phrases in the relevant language during the celebration
