What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Develop their speaking and listening skills in relation to the world of work.
Develop their reading and writing skills in relation to the world of work.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Follow a simple verbal instruction to carry out a work based task
- Show how to be polite when woking with people in the workplace
- Write a brief formal message to someone in the workplace through a range of mediums
- Hold a brief telephone conversation with someone in thew workplace
- Ask at least two questions to someone in the workplace to find out information
- Identify two different forms of text used in the workplace eg adverts, emails, lists, payslips
- Read five social signs found in the workplace
- Identify a vowel in CVC words related to work
- Write a list of resources or equipment needed for work
- Spell five relative words
- Use capital letters at the beginning of a sentences about work
