Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify four different soils and label using their preferred method eg symbol, label, photograph
- Identify if soil is dry or wet to handle using their preferred method eg symbol, label, verbal
- Fill four transparent pots with small amounts of each soil type and label (clay x 1, sand x 1 etc) using their preferred method eg symbols, words
- Pour a small amount of water into each soil pot
- Observe, then indicate water passing through soil using preferred method of communication
- Indicate if soil feels dry or wet on surface using preferred method of communication
