What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Read and explain the main points in a newspaper article, brochure or website
- Use punctuation - full stops, capital letters and question marks, correctly when writing a letter inviting someone to a planned event
- Talk to a visitor or a new student about the school day/facilities
- Use a map with a key to locate facilities in the local community whilst researching community based events and entertainment
- Understand that the numeral at the bottom of the fraction is the number of equally sized parts
- Identify simple equivalent fractions eg two halves = one whole one
- Match the time on digital and analogue clocks
