What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Read a short extract about at least two different types of shops
- Identify punctuation in the text eg full stops and question marks
- Find a word in a simplified dictionary
- Write a short description of each shop
- Use capital letters appropriately eg for place names, proper nouns etc
- Leave regular spaces between words
