What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Be able to ask for items using a question starter.
Be able to answer a question from a choice of two options.

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Ask for an item using the words ‘can I have… ' using a communication aid, speech or sign
- Ask for two items in different contexts using the words ‘can I have ... and .......' using a communication aid, speech or sign
- Answer a question using Yes or No
- Answer a question from a choice of two options, using communication aid, speech or sign (without pointing to correct option)
- Say thank you when receiving an item/s using communication aid, speech or sign
