What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Be able to answer a closed question.
Be able to ask for items using a simple sentence.

- Answer a question using Yes/No/Don’t know
- Answer a question from a choice of options, using a communication aid, speech or sign (without pointing to the correct option)
- Ask for an item using sentence starter of choice using a communication aid, speech or sign
- Ask for two items in different contexts using sentence starter of choice using a communication aid, speech or sign
- Say please and thank you when asking for or receiving an item/s in different contexts using a communication aid, speech or sign.
