What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Be able to explore real life settings, items and sounds related to nature and the environment.
Be able to explore maths activities related to nature and the environment.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Use senses to explore items and environments related to nature eg leaves, stones, branches, parks, woodlands with appropriate support
- Show a like or dislike for the different sensory experiences
- Experience moving in different directions when exploring nature and the environment
- Experience three maths concepts linked to nature and the environment eg, many or few seeds, full and empty watering cans, big and small plant pots
