    • Act on the imperative verbs 
    • Refer to diagrams, illustrations or labels
    • Accurately title the instructions
    • List ingredients; resources; materials
    • Use bullet points or numbers to structure writing and explain tasks in chronological order
    • Begin sentences with imperative verbs and time connectives
    • Include appropriate detail
    • Label diagrams, photographs and illustrations
