Be able to listen to and independently read a range of texts for an extended period of time.

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Attend to a range of texts being read for at least five minutes on at least three occasions
- Read at least three different texts independently for at least five minutes each
- Arrange at least three statements about key events from a story in the correct order on at least two occasions
