The learner can:

    • Identify three steps of self-hygiene required before carrying out meal preparation
    • Explain why these steps of self-hygiene are important
    • Demonstrate the correct procedure for hand washing
    • Carry out at least two other identified hygiene routines eg tie hair back, remove jewellery, wear an apron
