What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Be able to listen and show understanding of the poppy story.
Participate in a visit to a cenotaph to show their respect to the soldiers.

Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Put events of the story in the correct order
- Communicate at least two reasons as to why the poppy is important
- Answer questions about the poppy story
- Give an example of what they did at the cenotaph eg place a homemade wreath next to the cenotaph, take part in two minutes silence, read the names of the the soldiers etc.
- Create a poster relating to the visit to the cenotaph
