The learner will:
Be able to identify the use of a grater and the parts of a grater.
Be able to use a grater safely and correctly on multiple occasions.

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- State why they would use a grater
- Identify a grater, or part of a grater, that slices
- Identify a grater, or part of a grater, that finely grates
- Identify a grater, or part of a grater, that coarsely grates
- Identify two different foods that can be grated eg; cheese; carrots
- Identify two different foods that cannot be grated eg tomatoes; raspberries
- State how to use a grater safely, eg holding onto the handle; keeping fingers away from the grater
- Use a grater safely to slice a food item; with physical assistance where required, on at least two occasions
- Use a grater safely to finely or coarsely grate a food item; with physical assistance where required, on at least two occasions
- Clean the grater safely
