What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Collect personal equipment needed for a shopping trip (e.g. money, bag, coat, medication)
    • Create a list based on needs (e.g. shopping list from recipe ingredients)
    • Follow and tick off items on a symbol shopping list
    • Follow verbal/gestural instructions to locate two items in the shop
    • Demonstrate appropriate behaviour and manners when interacting with a cashier to buy their items
    • Hand over cash to pay for shopping items and wait for change
