What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Be able to identify and label the equipment and clothing used for skiing.
Be able to take part in a series of ski lessons.

Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify the clothing they will need to wear on the ski slope
- Give a reason why at least one item of clothing is required eg helmet to protect head, gloves to keep hands warm
- Identify the equipment they will need to take part
- Demonstrate how to put ski equipment and clothing on correctly
- Demonstrate how to get to the top of the slope safely
- Demonstrate the triangle shape (the plough) to slow down and stop
- Demonstrate all of the above consistently over time
