The learner will:
Know that an orienteering map differs to a road map.
Be able to follow a given route on a map.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify an orienteering map from a road map
- State the name of three things on a map; eg water; woods; buildings
- Use the map to travel to four identified places
- Provide evidence of arriving at each place eg photograph, punch on card
