- Assess the needs of the group and decide the best location to run the workshops from
- Introduce themselves and learn the names of the new group
- Choose an appropriate topic or subject to share with the group
- Plan what aspects to cover and the format; eg a PPT, a demonstration
- Sustain this workshop over a minimum of three sessions
