Demonstrate an understanding of the different types and nature of public institutions and services in the UK.
Know about one public institution or public service in local area.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify at least three public institutions
- Describe what each of the identified institutions or services does
- Complete either primary or secondary research into one public institution or service to include information on; the main aim of the organisation; how it helps the local community; what type of service it provides
- Make a poster to advertise the service
