The learner will:
Be able to answer the phone and assist the caller.
Be able to welcome people in-person to the building.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Pick up the phone to receive a call
- Demonstrate how to answer a call appropriately
- Listen and respond to the person on the phone
- Be able to transfer the call or take a message, with support if needed
- Welcome a visitor appropriately and find out why they are here
- Ask the visitor to sign in and show them where they need to go
- Let a staff member know they have a visitor, if appropriate
