The learner will:
Be able to recognise and use 1p coins.
Be able to calculate with coins.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify 1p coins in a group of mixed coins
- Count up to 10p in 1p coins to match the value of an item
- Exchange coins in a transaction to buy a chosen item in a shop or role play situation
- Combine two groups of 1p coins to find the total price of two items in a shop
- Calculate change by taking away a given number of 1p coins from a group of 10 coins
