Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Demonstrate which kitchen items are used for what and how they are used
    • Demonstrate two steps of self-hygiene required before carrying out meal preparation 
    • Identify hazards in the kitchen 
    • Demonstrate safe practice using three different kitchen utensils/equipment to safely prepare a simple snack e.g. sandwich
