What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Consider what ‘being an adult’ means and know the legislation that affects people at 16 and beyond.
Understand the legislation that relates to sex and relationships, and explain why coercive control, sexual harassment and sexual violence in relationships is unacceptable, illegal and what the consequences of this are.

Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Create a list of things that they are looking forward to in adulthood, and things that concern them
- Create a poster/leaflet that shows where and how to access help and information if they are worried or concerned about anything, post-16
- Suggest ways to keep themselves and others safe in regard to healthy and positive relationships
- Know how and where to access advice and support if they are concerned about a sex or relationship matter
