What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Use observational skills to identify and group animals.
Demonstrate they are able to name different parts of a body both in animals and human.

Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Show they can identify at least three different animal groups from physical features; eg all animals with fur are mammals
- Describe an animal using observational skills using key features, e.g. elephants have, a long trunk, four legs, hair and grey skin
- Identify the parts of the body on a human associated with the five senses
- Identify the parts of the body on three different animals associated with the senses
- Identify the parts of the body on both humans and animals associated with movement i.e. wings, legs, arms
