Learning outcomes
What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Demonstrate a response to activities relating to counting in whole numbers up to number five.
Demonstrate an awareness of numbers up to five in different contexts.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Independently make a response to a number song, using words, gestures, facial expressions/body movements, switches or symbols on four different occasions
- Accept appropriate support to identify numbers up to five using words, gestures, facial expressions/body movements, switches or symbols on four different occasions
- Respond to activities that involve counting numbers up to five by using a touch screen, objects, symbols, signing and eye pointing and gestures on four different occasions
- Demonstrate that they can engage in early number activities within the school environment on three different occasions
- Demonstrate they can engage in early number activities in the local environment on at least one occasions
- Listen to and respond to a range of number activities being shown through technology on at least three different occasions
