Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Create a healthy lunch menu to be served at school
- State the three major food groups (Carbohydrate, fats and proteins) and how they affect the body
- State what the four stages of sleep are and how they affect the body (e.g during REM sleep the body converts short term memory into long term memories)
- State how the actions they take (e.g diet, exercise, reduced screen time) during the day and evening will promote a good night's sleep
