Learning outcomes
What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Recognise what prejudice and discrimination is.
Be introduced to the Equality Act is and be able to give examples of protected characteristics.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Choose from a selection of pictures to show they can recognise prejudice and discrimination
- Choose a series of pictures or create a list of what they could do if they saw someone being treated unfairly
- Create a poster of the protected characteristics of the Equalities Act
- Show positive and negative discrimination through role-play
- Have a group discussion to decide three things you could do in school to make sure everyone is included and can participate fully in school life
