The learner will:
Be able to identify the individual apparatus of the coffee machine and show practical understanding of how to use each piece of equipment.
Be able to use the coffee machine safely and competently in order to make a cappuccino coffee.

Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify and describe the use of each piece of coffee machine equipment including the grinder, tamper, portafilter, jug and milk thermometer, steam wand and group head
- Demonstrate that they are able to use the individual apparatus of the coffee machine competently and consistently on at least three observable occasions
- Demonstrate that they are able to follow the order of the process of using the coffee machine apparatus, consistently on at least three observable occasions
- Show observable good practice of health and safety skills when using the coffee machine and relevant equipment, ie the grinder, tamper, portafilter, jug and milk thermometer, steam wand and group head on at least three evidenced occasions
