What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do

The learner will:

  1. Be able to identify different medication boxes/bottles. 

  2. Be able to identify how to be safe around medication. 

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Sort boxes/packets into two categories; medication packets/boxes/bottles and cereal boxes, sweet packets etc 
    • Recognise which boxes/packets/bottles would contain medication

    From a selection of visual, spoken or signed prompts:

    • Identify what to do if they find medication 
    • Identify where medication is stored
    • Identify who gives them medication 
    • Identify where they can buy/get medication
