The learner can:
- Select an appropriate item for upcycling based on an understanding of materials and their suitability
- Create a plan to upcycle an item
- Identify the correct tools required
- State how the selected tools will be used safely in the process of upcycling
- Select the correct safety equipment needed for the project
- Follow health and safety rules in the workshop
- Appropriately prepare item by sanding and ensuring it is free from loose materials
