Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify up to 20 jobs that are land -based eg dairy farmer, tree surgeon,
- Identify up to 20 jobs that involve working with children eg nursery nurse,
- Identify up to 20 jobs that involve making or building things eg landscape gardener, builder,
- Identify up to 20 jobs that involve meeting people eg office work, receptionist,
- Identify up to 20 jobs that involve working in a snowy environment or in water eg life guard, chalet worker at ski resort
- Identify up to 20 jobs that involve being creative eg artist, jeweller
- Create a poster for each category and include images to represent each job
- Create a table for any new vocabulary experienced during this challenge including definitions
- Select one job from each of the six fields
- Carry out research to find out five skills that might be needed for that particular job eg a teacher might need to be patient and organised
- Find out the route a person may take to get that particular job eg a teacher might need a degree and qualified teacher status
- Find out how much they might get paid for that job eg a teacher would have a starting salary of £20,000
