  1. Learn to sign 10 specific signs for different varieties of vegetables, in BSL.

  2. Learn to read, in BSL, 10 specific written words for different varieties of vegetables.

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Recognise and sign the names for potatoes, peas, carrots, sweetcorn, green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, onion and courgette when shown the relevant image or item on a single occasion
    • In BSL, read the words for potatoes, peas, carrots, sweetcorn, green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, onion and courgette; to be assessed on a single occasion
