What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Add an appropriate amount of cold water to a kettle
- Turn the kettle on to boil
- Recognise when the kettle has boiled
- Pour an appropriate amount of water in a suitable vessel safely with suitable support, e.g. into a bowl for Super Noodles, into a cup for Cup of Soup
- Stir the food as appropriate safely
- Point out the dangerous parts of a kettle
- Point out the dangerous parts of a pan and hob
