Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Demonstrate that they know what to avoid touching when using an oven
    • Demonstrate that they know what PPE to wear when using an oven, i.e. oven gloves
    • Prepare food to go into an oven, e.g. pasta bake, pizza, etc
    • Turn on an oven to the correct setting and correct temperature
    • Place food into the oven safely using oven gloves
    • Set a timer correctly to know when the food will be ready
    • Remove food from the oven safely when it is ready
