  2. Learn to read, in BSL, 10 specific written words for different varieties of fruit.

The learner can:

    • Recognise and sign the names for bananas, oranges, pears, grapes, apples, strawberry, melon, peach, pineapple and coconut when shown the relevant image or item on a single occasion
    • In BSL, read the words for bananas, oranges, pears, grapes, apples, strawberry, melon, peach, pineapple and coconut; to be assessed on a single occasion
