The learner will:

  1. Be able to identify different types of transport.

  2. Be able to go on a bus trip with support.

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Visit the local community and use preferred communication method to identify two different transport methods
    • Match at least three different transport methods
    • Identify a bus from a range of transport methods
    • Engage with buses in at least two different sensory activities (e.g., painting with buses, bus sensory trays, playdough buses)
    • Follow verbal or visual instructions to stop at a bus stop
    • Use preferred resources to wait safely at a bus stop (e.g., timer, fidget toys)
    • Follow verbal or visual instructions to transition on or off the bus
    • Follow verbal or visual instructions to wait on their seat whilst the bus is moving
    • Engage with photos of themselves on the bus
