What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Be able to identify different types of transport.
Be able to go on a bus trip with support.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Visit the local community and use preferred communication method to identify two different transport methods
- Match at least three different transport methods
- Identify a bus from a range of transport methods
- Engage with buses in at least two different sensory activities (e.g., painting with buses, bus sensory trays, playdough buses)
- Follow verbal or visual instructions to stop at a bus stop
- Use preferred resources to wait safely at a bus stop (e.g., timer, fidget toys)
- Follow verbal or visual instructions to transition on or off the bus
- Follow verbal or visual instructions to wait on their seat whilst the bus is moving
- Engage with photos of themselves on the bus
